Health & Safety Update

In August and September Welding & Engineering Ltd became signatories and members of the Canterbury Rebuild Safety Charter and Appcon.  

Welding & Engineering Take Delivery of 20 Ton Crane

Barry Crone, Branch Manager of Titan Cranes presents the keys for our new 20 ton crane at our Head Office & Workshops. This little beauty is ready for action and will be very busy in the city working on tight sites and where road access is limited. See our gallery for more photos  

Random Safety Audit Meeting

For Left to right - Andre Beukes and Leon Frapwell from SafeRebuild meet with Gregory Chawynski and Fraser Cook (Health & Safety Manager) after a random safety audit on the head office site. Welding & Engineering Ltd take Health & Safety very seriously. SafeRebuild were invited to provide some feedback on best practice and legislative requirements

Quality Assurance

Our Company is SFC accredited for the fabrication and erection of structures up to and including Construction Category C3 (CC3) under AS/NZS 5131. We are certified in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 3834 Part 2, with our welding coordination team qualified to ISO 3834.5 for the management of welding structural and reinforcing steel in compliance with AS/NZS 1554 Part 1 & Part 3. Our welders are qualified to ISO 9606.1 and AS/NZS 2980, with our site erection team trained and qualified by SCNZ to supervise the installation of High Strength Bolts, with specific training in TB and TF tensioning. We also have an in-house welding supervisor and inspector qualified to supervise and carry out formal welding inspections under AS2214 and IIW IWI WT1 joint qualifications.
